demons

What are demons, how do you protect yourself from them, and how do you destroy them? A girl just likes to know these things BEFORE she meets one, or two, or what ever.

Brings up another question....do they come in pairs, alone, in packs? Are they corporeal?

Re: demons

Those are valid questions. I think maybe we need to email Arch Bishop James Long who is a Demonologist.
He may be able to provide some clarity on the matter. Maybe we could get Sean to invite him to the forums for this discussion?

Re: demons

From what I believe they are maleviolent spirits. Depending on denomiation you are depends on if you beleive they are the servants of some unholy power or whatever. This is what I beleive, though I do not profess myself a demonologist or anything to that nature. This is just what I feel and what I have read about.

Human beings have alot of evil in them even the most pure of people have bad thoughts and temptations. Sometimes when we pass on that evil stays behind in spirit form, it accumilates energies and can get stronger. There are enough people out there tossing out enough negative energies to feed them. I beleive that they mainly reside in areas that they can feed on the negative energies such as prisons, asylums, battlefields, that kind of thing. Also places where suicide are high can have a large number of them. They tend to like to feed on the weak and drive them to do bad things.

Also there are several kinds which depending on what kind they are they can be loners, packs, and pairs. Thogh from what I have heard they are primarily loners as they do not like to share the energies they consume.

I also beleive that we can create them with a strong enough bad wish. Basically if you harbor enough bad will and wish for something to happen the energies that we throw out there take on a form of their own and can have serious repricutions.

I am not a demonologist so I cannot tell you how to get rid of them, I just tend to guard myself and my energies if I feel like I am threatened and get out of the area as soon as I can. Sorry I couldn't be more help though I would like to get more info on demonology too if we can get a good discussion going in here.

Re: demons

Ok well then I might be wrong, I read a few things in several books and I must have misunderstood them. Like I said I'm not a Demonologist so I don't really know alot about the matter.

Re: demons

I don't agree with your statement Rick, first off Asylums are full of very spiritually gifted people that simply have had not positive guidance to handle their gifts.

The old Asylums were full of people that society had no idea how to handle or help. They became patients at Central State that were placed there for various stupid things such as PMS symptoms, or because they had no family to care for them here and many other reasons that were not related to mental illness as defined by today's medical standards. They were housed in the only State facility possible because they were poor, homeless or there were no other government agencies that were set up to handle/help them.
I learned these facts in my extensive research of the history of Central State. I found that this was the case in facility after facility across the nation.

On your view of people's thoughts becoming evil, you are partly right. I would recommend researching Quantum Physics, Reading about the Law of Attraction and The Celestine Prophecy, The Tenth Insight, and the other books in the series. Also check out the movies, The Secret, What The Bleep Do We know and Down The Rabbit Hole. Our thoughts can manifest physically in our daily lives and it is proven that by changing a person's thought process it will manifest positive change in their lives. Check out any book by Eckhart Tolle or watch the series online that he did on Oprah's show. After his appearance her show launched a huge campaign/study where people read his book and manifested amazing changes in their lives. Simply put the power of positive thinking has proven to evoke change.

In regards to negative people or negative energies both are extremely toxic and do tend to push people away that chose not to accept the person or the energy they project. I for one will be the first out the door when I encounter this. Negative energy can also be embraced with love and it will either decompress or simply dissolve. That I did put to the test and time after time it would both decompress and dissolve.

As far as evil staying on the earthly plane when a person leaves this dimension, I think it is the ego essence of that person that keeps them here. When a person choses to live a life of "Control Freak" that is simply their own ego keeping them in the thought process that they are more intelligent than anyone around them and it is their duty to control what they deem "stupid people" because the so called "stupid people" cannot care for themselves. A "Control Freak" is someone that is basically an Energy or psychic Vampire, they steal the energy of others around them by asserting control over their daily lives. While this makes the "Control Freak" feel empowered, it truly only locks their ego into an abyss of constant turmoil which could be perceived as "Demonic" should anyone else encounter them in this life plane or another. I think that situation is what people have encountered and that potentially demons do not exist as this was a term coined by the "Church" and known throughout the history of religion. As we all know, most religion thrives on controlling the masses on fear based principles.

Children have been taught throughout history to fear god and do what the big book says or you will burn for eternity in a pit of fire and doom. This worked great for many generations to keep the masses contributing large portions of their income to the "churches" and perpetuate the population control.  We were taught that individuals were not worthy of their own relationship with God, Creator, whatever term you chose personally for the higher power. We were taught we had to go to a "church" to hear gods message through one of his chosen ones.

Bottom line we all know that Ghosts, Spirits etc are energy from the current methods of science utilizing EMF detectors etc.  So we know we are dealing with energy and with positive energy there is negative energy. How we handle that is up to us individually. I personally cannot wait to meet the Demonlogist Arch Bishop James Long and get some insight from him on the whole demonic energy.
Okay I open the floor for debate so bring it on! This should be interesting.

Re: demons

I have a friend, who for some reason is absolutley obsessed about me going to Hell's Gate(he saw on the website that it is a future investigation), who told me that he has been fighting them for years and the only way to kill them, or make them go away, is to either take a 440 steel sword and fight them, or grab hold of one and suck the energy out of them and then dissipate the energy into water.

Both seem to be icky to me, but I'm not the violent type anyway. Though the idea of swinging a sword around does excite me to some extent. Heh! Must be a remant of a past life.

Anyway, he told me he was going to go to Hell's Gate and kill them all because if he didn't I would die because the demons are going to kill me, blah blah blah......

Do I believe him? Um, let's just say that I've seen and felt a lot of bizarre things since I've been studying the paranormal ,and other things, and try to keep an open mind.

Whether I believe in demons, who are evil entities that come from another dimension (according to my friend), is another thing. I don't know at this point. I've never met one in my experiences, and would rather not if I had a choice. They don't sound pleasant....

I try to keep an open mind in all things. And I would rather be safe than sorry. I did sign the waiver that said death, and all that, and was told, when I asked about it,....demons. Sooooooo........here I am looking for answers on how to deal with the critters.

Re: demons

I understand being cautious but I have relay a story on a past investigation.
I was in a spiritual store and a friend was working behind the counter recently.  introduced me and told the customer that I was a ghost hunter. The customer then told me her families house was haunted so they  wanted us to check it out. Another person in the store at the time told me to be very careful that there were two demons at that location and I was in over my head. Being the sassy person I am, I declared we shall see what comes when I visit the location. Long story short, there were no demons or the described demonic activity that I was cautioned against. We did not get one piece of Scientific evidence during our investigation but that does not discount what the family claims happened to them prior to our investigation. They did request a cleansing and we did conduct a ceremony to change the vibration of their home. The home owners advised things seemed to calm down after the ceremony and have my number to call if things get ramped up again.
I am not sure that the person who informed me that there were two demons at the location was totally right because they charge people money to do cleansings which does not resonate with me as I am here to help people, not lighten their wallets.
I think if and when the time comes that we encounter something others would consider demonic, we will be prepared to handle it as god, creator or whatever your connection with source is called never gives you what you cannot handle.
I am just greatful for each experience and will handle it when it comes the best that I can and if it feels like something out of my realm there are many people we can call in for back up.

I agree with you. We know people we can call if needed. Besides, as a team we can unite our abilities and handle most things, I reckon.

Re: demons

I think it goes without saying the more you believe in something, the more it becomes real to you and the people around you. If you believe a house has demons in it.. then it may be easier to persuade others to believe in it as well and so on. Stories of demonic possession and even negative energy have never really impressed me and I don't immediately associate strange behavior or negative feelings to demonic entities (if they even exist).

What bothers me especially with 'negative energy'.. what is that really? How are we measuring the amount of 'negativity' in the 'energy'. What kind of energy are we talking about? Anything can be perceived as negative especially if the situation is right. I had a negative 'energy' moment last night when i put my dog's collar on the banister like I do every night before going to bed. As I turned off the lights her tags clinked together due to gravity and it startled me. Does that mean that area of my house had negative energy? If I didn't locate the noise I may just chalk it up to demonic activity right since it was a scary experience?

It's time to break through the 'assumed data' and analyze it for what it really is. I think lazy misconceptions run rampid through the paranormal world while there are some good researchers out there fighting to keep two feet on the ground while still studying the supernatural.

If someone were to ask me what is a demon and what should they do to protect themselves.. I would say this..

1) Look up demon in your local bible or affiliated religion.. or even wikipedia.
2) If you believe in them.. protect yourself and get the fook out of the paranormal field.
3) If you do not believe in them.. your best protection is some deductive reasoning.

This is just my opinion, however. Smiley

Re: demons

First and foremost, I love discussing topics such as this and I welcome any and all input and/or views. It is great to see more people jumping on board this discussion.
Killraven, I agree with your views for the most part and you are right in asking the question.....What is negative energy?

I am not a scientist but I associate negative energy with such things as "Control Freaks" "people with Victim mentality", put downs etc. I am sure everyone would have a different definition of the negative energy.

In the Native American beliefs they do not endorse negative or positive anything. It all just "is" in their line of belief. I try to follow those beliefs to some extent but I also have that caucasian upbringing that some times causes internal conflict.

Another example of negative energy is crime. A person who choses to rob, steal or kill is projecting negative energy by taking something that is not theirs instead of doing the right thing and working for whatever they are attempting to gain money for or killing someone to take what they have.

I also agree with you Killraven on the topic of believing in something creates something. Hence my reluctance to totally bite off on the whole topic of demons. I have encountered and experienced alot of things in my life on this earth and have never experienced anything I can deem demonic. But if such a thing exists I am sure I will get the privilege to experience it atleast once in my lifetime.

On that note. What is everyone's take on being possession by demons? That new show that was on tv recently had that priestly guy supposedly exorcising demons out of everyone he encountered. It was almost too much and I thought " Are you freaking serious?"

Re: demons

I didn't see that show and it would have probably made me say the same thing as you. However, I haven't seen everything yet and there are a lot of world religions who have demonic possession in some form or another. I've never seen such a thing, but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Unless you count ex husbands, but I think that's a whole different concept. hee hee

I'm not sure what I believe about anything to do with demons, demonic possessions, or even evil, but I read a lot and I do try to keep an open mind and watch my back. Not obsessed like my friend or anything, but I would rather be safe than sorry later on.

Re: demons

Just my opinion. I too try to follow the Native American belief system. Believing that there are 11 different worlds co-existing in this space, is it possible that there is bleedover from a less hospitable level, thus being labeled demons?
